The following is a brief list of miscellaneous options you may try if you are experiencing slow network issues and the previous suggestions in this section did not work:
Make the work group names the same on all networked computers
Install the latest driver for the actual mother board you're using rather than relying on the Windows 7 built in driver.
Under the Advanced tab for the network adapter, disable both TCP Checksum Offload and UDP Checksum Offload for IPv4 options. Both settings are found by:
Open Control Panel > Network and Sharing
Select "Change adapter settings"
Right click network adapter (i.e. Local Area Connection), select "Properties"
Click on the "Configure" button and click on the Advanced tab
Select the two options mentioned above and use the "Value" drop down menu to change the setting.
